Hi there, I'm Paisley! I'm a 20-something-year-old New York native, and a lover of sunsets, wine, dogs, and all things adventure. I spend a ton of time working in the wedding industry, laughing, crafting, and travelling. My favorite color is turquoise, but more of the beach-glassy kind, favorite flower is a peony (with ranunculus as a close second), and favorite ice cream flavor is probably mint chocolate chip, but I'll think about that one a little bit more.

I originally started this blog as a way to update my circle on my day-to-day of interning at Kleinfeld Bridal (the bridal shop behind TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress") and now enjoy writing about everything from creating to running to travelling. Hi ya'll! Welcome to Friday. Amen, we've made it. In the beginning of February, I was lucky enough to escape the snowy cold of NYC (seriously, I missed a big snow storm that closed down my office), and headed to the beautiful island of Barbados. Closing the Chapter: Farewell to Astoria (and the Whole30)

Hi all! Happy weekend ~ I feel like my week days are getting longer and my weekends are getting shorter, but at least the sun has been shining, which means Summer is almost here! After a big internal debate, I decided to end my Whole30 three days early and treated myself to wine and cashew milk icecream Friday night. Caity and I took advantage of the nice weather and met up for dinner, and after that, I just kept going. A teeny part of me wishes I held out the last few days, and the other part of me doesn't regret it even one little bit. When I made the decision to begin the Whole30 (while I was vomiting into a garbage can in my kitchen with the stomach virus), I had hopes that I would learn what foods bothered my digestive system. Throughout the past 30  27 days, I have learned a ton of self control when it comes to eating (I used to have this, and then it all went away...), and have become aware of how much sugar is unnecessarily added into just about everything we eat. Dress-Up Day

Tuesday is a weird day.... I have off Monday and Wednesday, so going into work today and having off tomorrow feels pretty odd! Anyway, I once again arrived too early this morning, so I stopped at Starbucks and had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte. I have to admit, it did make me excited for fall... We had our morning meeting out on the main floor today. Nicole and Kim (two Directors) showed off the new Augusta Jones dresses which were really pretty! I also met a consultant who has been on vacation. After the meeting, Joan paired me with Rita, a consultant who has been with Kleinfeld for over 20 years. She is from Italy and there is a slight language barrier, but she was so funny and nice and kept me laughing the entire time! While there were over 70 appointments today, Rita and I only had two brides! The day was so slow for us, and therefore boring at times. I really did enjoy working with Rita, though.
